Skyjacker's 3" lift kit for the 01-09 Silverado, Sierra drives & handles with better control and stability than stock. Maintains front end alignment to factory specs. Ball joint angles remain stock. 6" Performance System lift is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy-duty 1/4" thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers with an integrated differential skid plate. Front and rear crossmembers are connected via tubular support tubes to provide additional front suspension rigidity. The knuckles were designed to reduce track width to keep the tires under the fenders. This system includes torsion bar drop mounts, extended length sway bar links with urethane bushings, front and rear bump stop brackets and rear blocks. 6" RTS (Raised Torsion Suspension) system utilizes patent pending torsion bar brackets that keep the torsion bars raised up, in the stock location. This feature provides superior ground clearance at the frame as there is no torsion bars hanging down to become high centered or damaged when off-roading. 6" NOTES: Larger tires cannot be installed on OEM wheels. Does not fit models with Quadrasteer. Installation requires welding. 8" Performance System is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy duty 1/4" thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers with tubular upper control arms. This combination provides an excellent ride quality with high ground clearance. This system will provide a true 8" of lift without adjustment to the torsion bars allowing the use of 37" tall tires. The front differential is properly relocated to eliminate front driveshaft vibration on 2001-06 vehicles with the stock driveshaft. On late model 2007-08 vehicles with Magna 1625 transfer cases, the system requires the use of a CV front driveshaft to address high speed 4WD use. New tubular upper control arms lift into the stock frame pockets using urethane bushings. Upper control arms include double shock mounting tabs for integration with Fabtech's optional front dual shock hoop system. The front suspension is completed with a differential skid plate, tubular crossmember supports and impact struts while the torsion bar drop down brackets properly align the torsion bars to the relocated stock lower control arms. The rear suspension is lifted using a 4" block kit with 2" add-a-leaf. The system is completed with rear bump stop brackets and a rear driveshaft carrier bearing drop bracket. 8" NOTES: Installation requires welding, exhaust and possible front drive shaft mods. Tuff Country offers 2" lift kits for the Chevy HD pickups that include front replacement torsion bar keys and either rear lift blocks or add-a-leafs. The included torsion bar keys reindex the factory torsion bars which lifts the truck without "cranking up" the factory torsion bars. Once installed this lift kit will keep the "Factory Rake", with the front end being slightly lower than the rear. Front shock relocation brackets included. 4" & 6" Standard lift kits use the combination of new extended spindles (eliminating need to drop upper control arms) and a one-piece sub-frame increasing strength and cutting the amount of brackets and pieces required in half. A one-piece sub-frame will also help to eliminate annoying squeaks and rattles. Includes lateral compression arms. Simple bolt-on installation. Factory rims will not fit with this lift kit. A rim with a 4.5" back spacing or less is required. 4" & 6" "Strong" lift kits use new extended steering knuckles and a three-piece sub frame that includes two cross members that are connected by a heavy duty skid plate. This skid plate is designed to protect the front differential and stabilize the cross members for unmatched strength and durability. This design also allows for an easier and quicker installation.
