The Zone HD system is built for everyday driving but sturdy enough for offroad abuse. The one piece main crossmembers in combination with the CNC machined ductile steering knuckles match the OE geometry for excellent ride and handling. Rough Country 6" Lift Kits for the 8-Lug Chevy/GMC Pickup include laser-cut front and rear cross-members, one-piece quality cast CNC machined knuckles, integrated HD skid plate that does not sacrifice ground clearance, differential drop brackets, front sway-bar links, rear block kit and 4 Nitro 9000 shocks. One area seriously lacking on the Chevy HD is the steering link. With an outside diameter of only ½", one wrong turn can easily bend the tie rod leaving your alignment out of whack for all of eternity. That problem is only intensified when you beef up the truck’s appearance with an off-road tire and wheel package. Rough Country combats this issue with its new HD Tie Rod Sleeve. Taking the outside diameter from ½" to 1", this steel sleeve strengthens the steering components on the HD with an install time of only an hour. 6" Performance System lift is accomplished via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attaching to heavy-duty 1/4" thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers with an integrated differential skid plate. Front and rear crossmembers are connected via tubular support tubes to provide additional front suspension rigidity. Designed to clear 35" tires. 8" Performance System boasts the same features as the 6" HD system but with more lift and super trick upper tubular control arms. The new upper control arms feature integrated multiple shock mounting tabs should you desire the optional dual shock system, for the ultimate in dampening capabilities. New style steering knuckles have been designed to reduce track width as compared to early model kits. Rear lift is accomplished via a 4" block and add a leaf system with rear bump stop brackets. Requires welding, exhaust & recommended front drive shaft modification. Designed to clear 37" tires. 9" Coilover Conversion System - This cutting edge system eliminates the factory torsion bar assembly replacing them with a coilover shock configuration. Included in the system is replacement extended length upper tubular control arms and lower plated and boxed style control arms to properly support the load of the Dirt Logic 4.0 coilover shock. The new control arms feature Delrin frame bushings with 1" Uniballs in the upper arms and heavy duty ball joint in the lower arms. Control arms are 1" longer than stock and will provide 12" of wheel travel. Extended length front axle shafts also included. To compensate for the increased track width Fabtech includes 1" per side reduced offset steering knuckles. The kit also includes Dirt Logic shock systems. Tuff Country offers 2" lift kits for the Chevy HD pickups that include front replacement torsion bar keys and either rear lift blocks or add-a-leafs. The included torsion bar keys reindex the factory torsion bars which lifts the truck without "cranking up" the factory torsion bars. Once installed this lift kit will keep the "Factory Rake", with the front end being slightly lower than the rear. Front shock relocation brackets included. 4" & 6" Standard lift kits use the combination of new extended spindles (eliminating need to drop upper control arms) and a one-piece sub-frame increasing strength and cutting the amount of brackets and pieces required in half. A one-piece sub-frame will also help to eliminate annoying squeaks and rattles. Includes lateral compression arms. Simple bolt-on installation. Factory rims will not fit with this lift kit. A rim with a 4.5" back spacing or less is required. 4" & 6" "Strong" lift kits use new extended steering knuckles and a three-piece sub frame that includes two cross members that are connected by a heavy duty skid plate. This skid plate is designed to protect the front differential and stabilize the cross members for unmatched strength and durability. This design also allows for an easier and quicker installation.
