Colorado, Canyon, S-Series pickup, Blazer, Jimmy, Sonoma, LUV Chevy, GMC Body Lifts
Making the decision whether to install a body lift kit or a suspension lift kit on your Chevy / GMC is sometimes dictated by your budget. While body lift kits are typically more affordable initially, installation can sometimes offset this savings with the later model vehicles. Older model vehicles typically only required the body mounts be replaced with a possible steering extension addition. Later models often require installation of additional bracketry as well increasing the cost of the body lift kit and installation charges.
Installing a body lift kit on your Chevy or GMC does not affect the factory ride quality and there is no need to purchase longer shocks. There is a cosmetic difference, however, as the frame is visible. This can be offset with the addition of GAP GUARDS that are inserted within the wheel wells.
