2017-Up 4WD Ford Stage 1 Suspension system, 3.0 Series Reservoir shocks

The Gen 2 Raptor factory shock mounts are located higher up on the chassis allowing ICON to design a 3.0 Series coilover with more shaft travel. The vehicle specific valving along with the ICON-engineered spring provide exceptional street ride quality along with excellent off-road characteristics. Using a significantly larger piston than factory, these coilovers see a 50% increase in damping ability in the “ride zone”. The multi-stage hydraulic “bump zone” provides an exponential increase in damping ability during the last 40% of compression travel for superior bottom-out resistance. A generous amount of shock oil is provided in the 10” finned aluminum reservoirs. This design increases the surface area (over 200%) for enhanced cooling and consistent damping. The CDC Valve technology offers 10 settings of damping adjustment to adjust the feel of the shocks for different terrains and cargo configurations.

Another change for the Gen 2 Raptor is how the rear shocks now mount in an offset design rather than a parallel setup. The Gen 2 Raptor has more available wheel travel than the original Raptor. By using an offset upper eyelet, ICON designed a 3.0 Series bypass shock to maximize travel and still use the factory shock mounts. These shocks feature 3 unique bypass zones – 2 on the compression stroke and one rebound. These bypass valves feature damped valve stops for a quiet and precise operation. Quick changes to shock tuning is accomplished with easy-to-adjust knobs that don’t require any tools. Whether on or off-road, the patented Anti-Wobble Link stabilizes the shocks to prevent rotation and possible collision. To protect the shock shafts and rod ends from off-road conditions, they feature urethane shin guards.
