Quick Overview
The Ford F450 and F550 10-lug trucks demand specialty parts when modifying the suspension. Fabtech has designed a lift kit with everything needed to convert to a 4 Link front suspension. This provides less caster change throughout travel for improved street driving. Ten years of experience providing commercial and military applications makes Fabtech the right choice for these large trucks.
The link arms are 2" OD heavy wall with 1/4" thick steel brackets at the axle with adjustable alignment cams. Fabtech 5 Ton Joints pivot at the frame. For over 10 years, these joints have been proven in rugged military use. They are both quiet and strong! The 4 Link Arms attach to stout 1/4” thick steel frame brackets for a solid mounting of the new suspension. The geometry of the 4 Link arms and frame brackets has been designed to provide an improved highway ride due to reduced caster change and able to tackle rough offroad conditions better than a Radius Arm suspension.
The coil springs are made in America and provide an additional 2" of wheel travel over stock. The factory long travel steering stabilizer is retained with the use of a bracket and support brace to reduce tire shimmy. Stealth monotube shocks are constructed with a 46mm diameter high flow piston. Offroad shock fade is reduced due to a free floating piston that separates the nitrogen gas charge from the oil. To prevent corrosion and increase durability, these shocks feature a Nitrocarburized piston rod that is superior to the chromed rods.
