Holding true to the use of only American steel, Skyjacker Softride leaf springs for the Scout II are an excellent choice. Thinner leaf technology with shot-peening of each individual leaf compresses the surface of the steel thereby increasing the tensile strength to provide maximum wheel travel and ride quality without sacrificing the life of the spring. Softride springs use bolt-style spring clips, eliminating friction. To achieve this superior ride quality, Softride springs taper over the entire length of the leaf creating more flex at the leaf ends to distribute loads more evenly over a greater area. This reduces the tendency for one leaf to dig into the leaf above it.
